Ethereal Twilight - Styled Shoot

As an avid planner, both in my business and in my personal life, when thing’s don’t go as planned, it presents a healthy challenge and room for growth. Wedding planning and working weddings, as I am sure you know, is full of things going awry from the original plan.

This styled shoot, with Chelsea Quinn Photography, was no exception. As I woke up Sunday morning, packed and ready for the styled shoot, I was not expecting to have a couple of inches of snow layered on the ground. Especially with the entirety of the shoot planned outdoors, in Spearfish Canyon. Luckily, I was able to call in a favor and change the location, last minute, to Venue 519 in Belle Fourche, so plans could continue on!

It’s essential to have flexible vendors who are willing to make it happen, despite challenges presented by things we can’t control. It can make or break an event. So Chelsea, girl! Thank you, for being flexible, for driving all the way from Rapid City, in the crappy weather, to capture these beautiful photos. Venue 519, you rock! For picking up my phone call early Sunday morning, and opening your doors to us so we could bring our vision into reality.

Without further ado, I’d like to present the beautiful photos from our “Ethereal Twilight” Styled Shoot. We wanted to create an intimate elopement setting, incorporating dark colors and interesting textures. I’d love to know what you think.

Of course! I can’t forget our models, creating the dashing bride and groom couple. They were troopers, willing to withstand the freezing snow and sleet to capture these dreamy photos. These photos are sweet enough to melt the snow straight from the ground!

Extending some gratitude, let’s give a little love to the vendors involved!
